Adopt a Palm: Help Keep Punta Piedra Beautiful
Help prepare our community for the winter season, one palm at a time.

Palm trees are part of what makes Punta Piedra special. They line our streets, complement our ocean views, and give our community much of its distinctive coastal character.
But keeping them beautiful and safe requires regular care. Punta Piedra has 107 palm trees throughout our common areas, and maintaining them is an ongoing responsibility. With winter winds approaching, proper pruning is especially important. Dead or damaged fronds can become hazards during strong winds, potentially falling onto walkways, vehicles, and nearby homes.
With limited funds available in this year's maintenance budget, we're inviting homeowners to help through a new community initiative: Adopt a Palm.
One Palm. $30. A Beautiful Difference.
For just $30 USD (550 pesos), you can sponsor the maintenance of one palm tree. Adopt one, adopt several, or encourage a neighbor to join you.
Our goal is to raise enough to care for all 107 palms throughout Punta Piedra, prioritizing professional pruning where it's needed most.
We're Already Off to a Great Start!
We're grateful to Larry Swikard, who has generously committed to adopting 25 palm trees. Fellow homeowner Dave Hanson has pledged to match Larry's contribution, adopting another 25.
That's 50 palms already pledged, bringing us nearly halfway toward our goal!
Only 57 More Palms to Go!
If the community's generosity takes us beyond our goal, additional funds will go toward other maintenance and improvement projects throughout Punta Piedra.
The Association will share the results of the campaign, including funds collected and how they are spent.

To participate, simply email the Punta Piedra Administration Office and let us know how many palms you'd like to adopt.
Every palm we care for helps preserve the beauty, safety, and character of the community we call home.
