Looking back at 2025

Steady progress under real constraints

2025 presented real challenges, but also measurable progress:

  • Major walkway repairs were completed, improving safety and long-term durability. Additional areas of concern related to coastal impact and erosion were reviewed during the year and will require future evaluation and funding. Additional funding is still needed for new lighting.
  • Security costs were reduced by relying less on contract guards while maintaining coverage.
  • Collection efforts made gradual but real progress, including settlements and account resolutions.
  • Infrastructure strain, including on the wastewater system, continues due to usage far beyond original design assumptions.

Not every issue was resolved, but the focus remained on protecting the community’s core services while addressing longer-term risks.
